Louis (Antique Gold)

The Louis collection is a revival of traditional French flair, delightful with some quite beautiful features such as extra drawers on the base of the armoire and subtle carving.

The centre piece bed is designed with a low and ornate footboard so as to keep your bedroom looking open a spacious

We have designed this as balanced collection , the bedsides and chests only have carving on the aprons of these pieces. The bed's carving on the headboard and footboard match the carving on the dressing table. Function is also important with the extra drawers on our armoires that utilise wasted space. If you want to put the O into ostentatious , then swap the Louis bed for our Josephine bed .

We have grouped all our collections in the shop by finish category (Gold French Furniture) and to make life  just that little bit easier we have created individual collections so you can simply point , click and buy.

We use a 9 step finish in this collection that includes baking on a Ox Blood Red  undercoat , hand applying Gold  leaf then  applying  a light  wash to enhance the carvings. Then we gently antique each piece to give a feeling of age.
